2. Prepare the surface:

Remove any old caulk from the joint between the bathtub and the surrounding surface using a razor blade or caulk removal tool.
Clean the area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or caulk cleaner to remove any dirt, oil, or soap scum.
Allow the surface to dry completely.

3. Apply painter's tape (optional):

If you want a clean, straight caulk line, apply painter's tape along the edges of the joint.
Press the tape down firmly to ensure a good seal.
