Step-by-Step Instructions

Turn off the water supply. There will be two shut-off valves under the sink or behind the bathtub. Turn both valves clockwise to turn off the water.
Remove the handle. Use the adjustable wrench to loosen the screw that holds the handle in place. Once the screw is loose, pull the handle straight off the stem.
Remove the stem cap. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw that holds the stem cap in place. Once the screw is removed, pull the stem cap straight off the stem.
